Hanna

As an avid Yoga practitioner and a rock climber Hanna definitely isn’t short of physical activity. However she recently noticed that her lower back was hurting more and more and she was getting injured increasingly often. Together we looked at fine tuning her movement patterns and expanding her active range of motion, which has enabled her to remain injury free.

April

April has a busy career as a project manager and doesn’t have time to exercise. She finds structured exercise a little boring and much prefers playing sports, such as tennis.

However spending long hours seated at work means her physical fitness has dropped and she started suffering from back pain.

To her surprise she enjoyed her first Pilates class and booked onto the second. It didn’t take long for her to start feeling the benefits and now she is a convert!

Jan

Jan’s job is a mixed bag in terms of physical activity. It involves a lot of physical tasks as well as frequent travelling, which means he spends many hours seated in airport lounges, trains and cars.

He is a keen long distance runner, however when his feet, knees and lower back started hurting, his running mileage had to drop.

Together we discussed that when it comes to physical activity, quantity isn’t all there’s and repetitive movement patterns (such as in running) can be as damaging as inactivity.

Now that he added more varied movement to his training regime things are starting to improve.

Nichola

Since suffering from a back injury and being diagnosed with a herniated L5-S1 disk Nichola was very nervous of taking up any new physical activity, however, she (tentatively) decided to give Pilates a go.

1.5 years and over a 100 (!) group Pilates session later she remains pain free and now has more energy to concentrate on her busy career as a Sponsorship Manager and her new found hobby of long distance cycling!

I Love You Too!

“Thank you so much again! I loved the new more challenging moves even though I couldn’t do all of them. I can feel a big difference to my body. I couldn’t believe the difference just after one class – at the beginning couldn’t touch the floor with my fingertips, then at the end I could almost place my hands on the ground. That’s amazing difference in just one hour!”

Nichola, Marylebone

“I have been attending morning pilates classes for the past few weeks with Move and Reboot and have noticed a great improvement with pre-existing lower back problems.

Elena is a brilliant teacher. She has a passion for teaching and deep knowledge of her subject area, great communication skills and most importantly patience and a sense of humour! I would recommend her classes to others”

Clare, Chiswick

“What a class, not to ever be missed again! If one thinks that coffee in the morning wakes you up, think again… nothing beats your joint rotation classes. My joints are alive, I now can move parts I never thought they could move. LOVE IT!”

Elma, Hampstead

“After two years of suffering with lower back pain following a slipped disc, I can’t believe the difference. I am amazed, especially for me, a reluctant and very nervous person with all forms of exercise. Within just two weeks (about 4 sessions) I already started to feel the difference and now, after a couple of months, I can not only see that I am standing better, but I have zero back pain!! I can get up and out of bed in the morning, without any pain – I never thought I would feel that way again. Thank you, Elena – you’ve transformed me – Gone are the days of my crablike struggle to get up!!”

Louise, East Bergholt

“You’ve changed my view on Pilates and how it can add value to me and my life – your enthusiasm is contiguous. You’ve made a dramatic difference to how I look after myself, I am more aware of how I sit and stand – the importance of counteracting the negative effects of daily life, sitting at desk! Plus, I have the added bonus, I actually enjoy it, look forward to it and it’s kept me positive during lock down – as you are there to help in my lounge – but it’s something that I will now be a staple part of my life. Love the …“delicious stretches!” ;))”

Carol, Leighton Buzzard

“It helps avoid new running injuries that I used to get on a regular basis, by improving my posture when running and stretching my hamstrings, which were really tight. Better strength in my legs and better core and balance improved my skiing on holiday, and the difference really was incredible.”
